Our Story

Healthy Hounds Fitness Club was founded by Nicole Packin, an entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in professional pet care and canine wellness. After building and successfully selling two respected companies, Miami Pet Concierge (est. 2007) and The Packin Method (est. 2022), Nicole relocated to Colorado and created Healthy Hounds Fitness Club to bring a more consistent, thoughtful approach to dog care.

After years of working with dogs, she saw a clear pattern: many weren’t getting enough intentional movement throughout the week, leading to boredom, unwanted behaviors, frustrated owners, and dogs that simply weren’t thriving.

Healthy Hounds Fitness Club was built to change that.

Through reliable daily walks, structured fitness, and adventure, the goal is simple: to help dogs stay active, balanced, and happy, while giving their owners peace of mind.

CEO & HEAD COACH

Nicole Packin is a three-time founder, canine wellness expert, and long-time advocate for structured, preventative dog care. With more than two decades of experience working with dogs across Florida, Texas, and now Colorado, she has built and successfully exited two premium pet care companies and is now launching her third — Healthy Hounds Fitness Club — in Colorado’s Front Range.

Nicole’s professional journey did not begin in pet care. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Miami, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television development. She worked with major entertainment companies, including William Morris Endeavor (formerly William Morris Agency), Spelling Television, and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, supporting pilot development, managing creative teams, and coordinating high-level production logistics. Those early years sharpened her leadership, operations, and brand development skills — tools she would later apply to building successful service businesses.

While in Los Angeles, Nicole began volunteering with the Amanda Foundation, an animal welfare organization. That volunteer experience changed the trajectory of her life. She discovered that working with dogs was not just meaningful — it felt like purpose. She returned to Miami determined to immerse herself in animal welfare full-time. Nicole joined the Humane Society of Greater Miami, where she worked in development and fundraising. During her tenure, she helped lead the capital campaign for the Soffer-Fine Adoption Center and managed major fundraising initiatives and large-scale events.

Through this work, she saw firsthand that one of the most common reasons pets were surrendered was not lack of love — it was lack of time, structure, and support. That realization became the foundation of her entrepreneurial mission.

In 2007, Nicole founded Miami Pet Concierge, which grew into one of South Florida’s most trusted in-home pet care companies. Over 17 years, she built and managed a team of more than 35 employees, developed comprehensive training systems, and implemented high standards for professionalism in what was often seen as a casual industry. Miami Pet Concierge provided dog walking, pet sitting, overnight care, and puppy training and support services with a strong emphasis on behavioral awareness and client education.

Under Nicole’s leadership, the company received multiple recognitions, including:

After nearly two decades of operation and thousands of families served, Nicole successfully sold Miami Pet Concierge in December 2024.

After relocating to Plano, Texas, Nicole launched her second company, The Packin Method — a holistic canine fitness business and mobile dog gym. Drawing from her deep behavioral education and hands-on experience, she observed a pattern: many dogs were physically under-conditioned and mentally under-stimulated, leading to preventable behavioral issues and mobility challenges. The Packin Method combined treadmill conditioning (Slatmill and Pacer workouts), therapeutic canine massage and bodywork, and structured walking programs into individualized fitness plans. Nicole personally oversaw assessments, customized programming, staff development, and strategic partnerships.

The company quickly earned recognition for innovation in the canine fitness space and helped shift conversations around preventative conditioning rather than reactive training. Nicole later successfully exited this business before relocating to Colorado.

Now based in Westminster, Colorado, Nicole is launching Healthy Hounds Fitness Club — a premium, membership-based canine fitness company serving Arvada, Broomfield, Boulder, Westminster, Superior, and Louisville.

Healthy Hounds Fitness Club is designed specifically for active Colorado families who view their dogs as true adventure partners. The company provides structured weekday fitness walks, conditioning hikes, and restorative canine massage programs, all tailored to each dog’s breed, age, health history, and activity goals.

The mission behind Healthy Hounds is clear: prevent “weekend warrior” injuries in active dogs by providing consistent weekday conditioning that builds strength, endurance, and joint stability. The brand positions itself more like an outdoor performance company than a traditional dog walking service, emphasizing structure, safety, and long-term wellness.
